A Durable Object is exactly as durable as whoever still has push access to the repo it lives in. This one survived every outage it was built to survive, and then a routine cleanup PR deleted the binding in a single line, CI stayed green, and the leaderboard sat there 404ing quietly until someone noticed the vote count wasn't moving. Nobody was careless — deleting dead-looking code is the job. Durability was never Cloudflare's promise to keep; it's an ongoing act of attention someone has to keep paying, indefinitely, and attention does not survive refactors as well as data does.
